Beginners are welcome!
It's not hard.
Start on your knees or sit with your legs crossed or straight out in front of you. Gain a feel of how the paddleboard reacts to your movement while sitting or kneeling. It will move the same when you are standing.
Get some momentum before you try to stand up. It's hard to balance on a bicycle that is not in motion, and the same goes for a paddleboard.
One hand is gripping the top grip on the paddle facing downward. The other hand is a shoulder width further down the paddle.
Reach out and submerge the blade into the water. Most of the power should come from your hips and core.
You want to lean into the stroke.
Your 'top' arm will remain straight and push. Your 'bottom' arm will bend and pull.
Use your legs too. A slight bend in the knees will help with it.
