Pass a grille
Pass a Grille is an absolutely lovely beach. I will always love PAG. My first home in Florida was in Pass-A-Grille. A tiny little pink cottage about 200 steps from the Gulf of Mexico. It's where I fell in love with Stand Up Paddleboards!
Pass-A-Grille derives it’s name from the French Passe aux Grilleurs.
This area was first visited by Europeans in 1528 when the Spanish Explorer, Panfilo de Narvaez anchored off Pass-A-Grille. They used the island as a camp ground for fisherman to obtain fresh water and to grill their catch. You can learn more by clicking the title above. Enough history...
The beach is about 2 miles long. It's at the tip of St. Pete Beach. There is plenty of parking and the walkovers are very short to get to the sand. The beach is narrow, maybe a couple hundred feet long at the most. It's the perfect sized beach. You don't have to walk very far to get to the water. Parking is $2.00 per hour.
