We often see dolphins or manatees on our excursions.

John's Pass Guided Adventure

Reserve here
The tours are hosted in the mornings from about 9am-11am.  We will do our best to accommodate alternative times.

John's Pass separates Treasure Island and Madeira Beach.  It's our favorite place to paddle and it's a great place to learn the sport.

We start on the protected inlets.  First-timers usually become comfortable after about 10 minutes.  About a mile out, you can hop out and stretch your legs on the sandbar. If you schedule a trip and it's windy, we can't guarantee that we get out to the sandbar. We can take you down the inlets, but we stay out of the open water.  We suggest you check out the wind forecast before scheduling if you want to be able to make it to the sandbar.

We see dolphins, manatees, lots of fish, pelicans, and a variety of birds.  We often see wildlife, but we don't always see wildlife. We guarantee you a paddleboard or kayak and guide, the rest is circumstantial.  Remember, paddlboarding and kayaking are sports.  You actually burn 400 calories per hour while participating! If it's windy, it can require some endurance.

Thank you, Mad Beach Paddlesports, for a truly memorable experience. Being able to explore John’s Pass in this way was so breathtaking, especially traveling through the mangroves. Jason was so flexible with rescheduling our trip (twice) when our original date had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. So very knowledgeable, professional, and awesome!
