Treasure Island is where we are headquartered. The beach is very wide. It's a bit of a hike to get to the water. If you want to rent a paddleboard in Treasure Island, we suggest that you launch on the bay. It 's much easier to drop your board or kayak in the bay rather than lug it all the way out to the Gulf, and you have a destination instead of wandering out in the Gulf.
Destination sandbar. John's pass has 3 of them, depending on the tides. You can rent stand up paddleboard and get there pretty easily. The wind will always be your biggest obstacle. There are some cool mangrove islands to explore out there, and we usually see lots of dolphins!
The Boat Dega is You can reserve a SUP or kayak at the resort and paddle toward the sandbar. There is plenty of free parking. The resort has a great pool and a rooftop bar. Chill out and grab a cold one after you paddle. You can also reserve one of our sweet fat tire beach cruisers from the front desk. You can get a room on the Gulf at the Treasure Island Resort, The Bilmar, The Thunderbird, The Residence Inn.
While visiting Treasure Island, wake up for some coffee from Coffee Grounds, cool off with some ice cream from The Shake Shop, and grab yourself a great dinner from BRGR at the Treasure Island Resort. Gators has a great waterfront bar. You can dock your boat right at the restaurant. Pick up some bait from the John's Pass Marina and cast a line near the bridge to catch some snook.
